My new Alfa Romeo...

Evening all, thought I'd share some pictures of my new car on here as well. Basically, I had a bit of a realisation that pissing around with cars so they were sat two inches off the ground with minimal arch clearance does not a practical car make, therefore took it upon myself at the ripe old age of just turned 23 to leave behind a few years of squandered money and look at getting a "proper" car as my dad says. So...here it is, an Alfa Romeo GTV Cup....number 33 to be precise.
This is the end result of wanting something, practical, reliable, economical and stylish....I guess one out of four isn't that bad!
Do have some plans to tidy up the car one or two light scratches on the car, and possibly a smattering of Carbon Fibre under the bonnet....and to lower the car slightly, with some spacers for the rear wheels to give the car a more purposeful "Stance" ....and maybe a ragazzon exhaust, but other than that it shall be staying as is....granted, that would hardly leave it standard, but don't want to detract away from the car...
I do have a bad habit of changing cars rather rapidly, my previous Nissan 200, I had for a grand total of 4 months. Do know what cars I want next, its just a case of working hard enough to afford one, before the world goes climate change mad...der and cars become as desirable as cottage pie.
If anyone is interested, here are some pictures of my previous three cars, prior to this;

VW Golf MK3 VR6 Highline; - there was a thread on here about this.
VW Golf MK1;
Any comments on the current car or previous ones are more than welcome (I do realise the older ones are likely not to be to everyones tastes!)

Thanks! I doubt there is a great deal I could do to improve the car anyway! I think it is simply going to be a case of tidying up the one or two minor defects, the rest are simply ideas I've got, most never see the light of day anyway!Altrezia said:

Yeah..I think I have a serious medical problem when it comes to wheels! I think my VR sat on 7 different sets! e around here! )
WOW that is something special, isn't it? Particularly in cup form they look exotic and the interiors put a lot of supercars to shame.
The problem you now have, however, is that any changes you make to this is likely to only make it worse. Those alloys, for instance, are probably the prettiest design of all time and are just made for that shape. Anything not related to refreshing/restoring the exterior or upping the power is going to look out of place on what is, let's be honest, a very rare and leftfield motor. However it's your car, I used to be into the modding scene once so I guess I understand.

You probably dont want to read this thread from alfaowner. Seems there is some abiguity over if your car is a genuine cup - it probably is, but its not number 33!

No, just read the thread, nothing to worry about for the OP, the guy selling the one on Ebay originally was a 'Y' reg and he incorrectly stated it was no.33. The guy on Alfaowner who did own no.33, brought that thread up and the car you see above that the OP has bought is infact the guy on Alfaowner's. I had a V6 GTV, I polybushed the rear suspension, fitted Bilstein Sport shocks with standard springs and it absolutely transformed the handling without ruining the ride, I was advised that lowering them more than a tiny bit is not a good idea so I would steer clear of that. Your car looks fantastic with the standard ride height anyway.
I fitted a Raggazon exhaust to mine, I had the silenced centre section with the unsilenced rear section and it sounded superb without being boomy or annoyingly loud so I would recommend that combination.
