My latest barge

GENTLEMEN,

After years of wanting one and wussing out I've finally bought my hero and it hasn't disappointed me in the slightest so far. She costs £81 to fill at 114.9p/litre but I get an easy 400 miles out of that with my fairly sedate driving style. The previous owner has put the tax disc in an odd place, but don't worry it'll be moved to the N/S lower corner of the windscreen when I can be bothered.

Not sure what else to say, so pics below.

Straight six. The V8 wasn't available until 97 or 98 I believe.

4.0 - I don't think the 3.6 was available for very long on this model.

Beautiful thing.
I ran a '93 3.2 for just under 60k miles over 3 years without anything other than servicing/MOT consumables.

XJ12, I'm already registered over on the 40 forums.

No plans for the car other than a little tidying. It's in very good nick but there are some swirls in the paint (which should be sorted next month using a machine polisher), a bit of wear on the driver's boulster and the bootlid badges need replacing as they appear to have got damp and peeled a bit.

It's in beautiful condition. They're wonderful cars, I've had one myself for a long time.

And there's something appealing about seeing a conventional (but no doubt electronic) distributor and plug leads!!!
