Lovely car. I've been looking at Elises, and it's interesting to note that you paid significantly less than the 11 to 12 grand I've seen quoted for a decent 111S.

Agreed ... but I've made up the difference in the first 6 months of ownership!

New alternator, tyres, geometry, cam-belt, exhaust, brake pads etc. I was fully aware of what needed spending on the car when I bought it at that price cool

Ah ok, I was hoping you'd bought a fully sorted 111S for 9 grand! Did you look at many examples? From what I've seen even normal S1s are up for sale at 10 grand! I've been looking at S1s myself but really don't fancy shelling out the best part of 10 grand for a standard S1. Hence I'd be looking for a 111S or tuned example. Whats it like to drive?

Definitely posible, provided you have patience and are ready for a long drive when the right car comes up. After 12 months of biding my time, a long drive (and ferry) I got this below for 9K on the nose - and after 2 months it still seems perfect. OP, your car looks spot on!
