My new car......

Hi all
After my failed awful attempt at a what car thread, here, we had some further bad news and lets just say my budget was no longer available.
So, in a true Pistonheads fashion I went out and bought this:
I am chuffed to bits, she is a 1996 UK 1.8iS. I have every old MOT, fully stamped up service history, original toolkit, brace, jack the lot, glass rear window, electric windows and mirrors, ABS and an airbag. A testament to its previous owners, she has been very well looked after. Only problems are a small patch of surface rust, nothing major, on the back arch, worn drivers seat and the roof is has 2 tears in it, they don’t leak, I don’t mind too much cos the plan was always to put a tan roof on anyway.
It was a 3 hour drive home yesterday after picking her up, she was fine cruising on the motorway, although as with any new car I was listening out for every squeak and rattle as well as keeping my eye on the temp gauge. Nothing happened and she was sweet. It was the tight and twisty roads closer to home that put the biggest smile on my face, is this what is known as handling? It was fantastic, so direct, so much feel through the wheel, I LOVED it.
I have a few plans, nothing major just a bit here and there:
1. Wheels are too big, 15" are the way forward.
2. Lowered for a better stance, not much but enough.
3. Clean and polish, maybe a mop to bring the paintwork back - Anybody know any good bodywork places in the southwest that do 'mopping'
4. New seats, something more supportive.
5. Enjoy
