Saab 9-3 Hirsch

Never thought I'd do it but here's my grown up car. Its a 2.8 V6 Turbo that was fitted out with all the Hirsch extras at the dealer before delivery. Its got 275bhp and loads of torque and is a hoot to drive. You can't help but grin when you put you're foot down at 80, the acceleration is fantastic. I never fancied a BMW, Merc or Audi as IMHO they all look boring. Plus, it suprises allot of people!

I've had a soft spot for Saab saloons since drifting one on a frozen lake in the arctic circle last year.

Considered buying one alhougj the dealer did keep urging me towards diesels when I wanted the rarer v6 4wd I'd driven in Sweden.

Lovely, a car that had slipped under my radar but these are very nice indeed, Didn't know they did a 4wd version of the V6 turbo, what year did that start from....can't seem to find much info

Only thing i'm not 100% on is the rear light design, the rest of the car looks subtly menacing, and different from the norm, good choice

The 4x4 saabs came out in 2008, I've always had RWD cars and find the FWD very different, although still fun. I like the rear light design as its different and stands out.

Thats brilliant, I have a soft spot for Saabs but one like this would be far too big for my needs. However one thing I'd lose is the Hirsch writing, looks awfully like the Halfrauds lettering

That's absolutely lovely, very stealth (especially in black)

Swapping the tailgate lettering for a genuine Hirsch badge would be the only mod I'd make...

Thanks for the kind words, we are stoked with it, can't be a bad sign when you try to find excuses to go for a drive!
I agree with the comments RE the Hirsch leters, I too think it was put together by the previous owner, next time I'm polishing I'll have them off. I quite like the chrome one from the Hirsch site.
Took a friend who knows nothing about cars for a drive and got 'woooooooooooow what the f*$k' he couldn't believe it was standard from the factory. Great fun

Little bit biased, I've got the 4x4 (XWD) 93, so know exactly what you mean about the shock factor for other drivers! Not sure if mine's as powerful as the Hirsch conversion, but it's great fun for a "family" car, makes the commute that little bit more interesting!

Sadly having to sell it now - but reading your post may have persuaded me to keep it!

I love the look of the face lift 93's, there's a great one on ebay at the moment and with 300bhp!

Although at almost twice the price I paid for mine and only half the mileage plus only a year younger, mine looks like a bargain.

Looking at their website, if you've at least one engine upgrade you can have the badge for free. Get it sorted man! Lovely car by the way.

Is this one of the Saab's that sounds a monster when the engine is cold? We borrowed one for a while, with the large anthracite 3 spoked wheels - it was amazing for a family estate!

Love it, I sort of had my Saab fix a few months back with an older Aero Coupe.

Your wheels really suit it and they are different to the norm.

Saw this parked up in a mews in Pimlico tonight. As we walked past I got excited and told the OH "that car belongs to a PH'er". Very nice indeed, although I would remove the Hirsch badging.

Spooky, just shows what a small country we live in (getting smaller every day). Just got to detail it before Sunday Service, perhaps get the Hirsch badge of too. Cheers for the kind comment.
