Escort cosworth & gsi cavalier

here are my 2 current cars. the escort is a imperial blue small turbo lux model with 70k on the clock. 18" engels and few chromy bits.apart from wheels and chrome bits its standard as outta the factory. the gsi is 1991 cavalier and had a full bare metal restoration from ronnie court in ipswich. gotta be one if the not thee cleanest gsi's left. its even had cruise control fitted lol

Both look fantastic and the wheels suit both the cars so well.
If I had somewhere safe and secure I'd have a escos in a heartbeat.

i had to practically build a garage to keep it safe. im nearly there. as of yet its still sitting on my driveway every day. kills me to see the rain coming down on it but hopefully get sorted in next 2 weeks.

i had the same colour gsi back in 2001 and always said i would love one again and when this one came up i couldnt resist it to be honest. i even bought it without looking at it as im in ireland. there is 30 odd pages of the rebuild on mk3oc.co.uk and migweb. here is some more pic's of cossie

Don't like either of them, personally - But what perfect examples you have of some 'quick car' history. Hats off to you for investing the time, effort and money into these cars. It's well worth it, I don't even think the Cav's were in that good condition from the factory!

cheers mate, i know the gsi seems a bit of a chav's car nowadays to some but i was 21 when had it years ago and loved it and still have a soft spot for them but clean ones are extremely rare nowadays as all the young lads have the arse drove outta them. as for the cossie, i have wanted one since 1992 and took me until now to get the courage to buy one as they are mental money. i sold this beemer and still had to put a few pound extra to buy the escort.

funny you should say that d3fender as i have had more people asking would i sell them. i myself think they are ok but nothing special but loads of people seem to think they are the ideal wheel lol

This is why I love this site. The Cosworth is stunning. Such a purposeful shape. I could look at that for hours.

ya the slabs are nice but getting hard to find in good condition. i honestly dont know what wheel i would put on if changed them. something easy to clean probably lol.

Love the cars man. Have always had a soft spot for the gsi and who hasn't wanted a cossie! Mate of mine has a saphire one but none of our cars are as clean as yours!

Brilliant cars there mate! Massive kudos to you for chipping in a run of the mill 5 series (which I also like) for two very interesting 90's heros.
