mellow matt decided he would like an MX5, and we found a particularly nice one near Port Talbot. Turns out it was more than nice, it was perfect.

So anyway, he bought it and we took the long way home through the Brecon Beacons, over Black Mountain A4069 and then B4520 (Brecon to Llanfair-ym-Muallt)

We both much preferred the B4520, possibly one of the best roads I've ever driven on. The A4069 looked awesome and had great scenery, but the B4520 had much better flow.

Anyway, here are a couple of pics. I didn't get one of "that bend" because I wasn't convinced the Noble would be able to get back on the road (there's a massive ledge down onto the gravel - has that always been there?) and generally we were too busy hooning to take pics.

Much as the MX5 is a nice car, with positive reviews regards handling and I have good reviews and experiences of most variants of the car, that Noble Is.Just.Glorious.

Both of those look really cool!

Just wondering, the plate on your noble, is it UK? seems really weird?

Yeah, that's the one. The 3 has always loved it over there with the O's, since 1968 in fact so who are we to tell it different?
