New to pistonheads, unsure why it has taken me so long to sign up but i finally managed it. biggrin

Well.. i have had my supra for over 3 years now and it has been a fair journey, ups and my fair shares or downs! including a piece of rubber stuck under a valve wich cost me almost 2k to fix! being one of the worst, but it feels like i have FINALLY started to get the supra just how i want it.

so.. here's where it all began, the day i picked it up-

an honest looking NA SZ-R 5 speed, all stock accept some hideous wrong size rims.. car also came with glass headlights, bilstien shocks and LSD being a SZ-R.

So, i never had too much money, and it has taken me three years to get it where it is at, my mods started with replacing the rims, i got some good value ones, i like the look and for my budget they were spot on.. they are still on the car to this day and it is the only thing i want to change really, so in april next year it will be between a brand new set of workmeister s1's or get some ccw classics over from the states.

Next up was the retrim, not usually the way round people mod but it's the way i did it and i'm glad i got this done first, when you make it a nice place to sit, it seems power and looks can come second lol.

so my Transcal chilli red retrim-

Now as always, whilst saving, i got a heap of small things done, dyed carpet, painted calipers, dash etc etc.

Then came the engine conversion.. Now people say 'why not just buy a TT, well, i didn't want too, simples. It just felt right to keep this car, i have loved it in every form it has been, only enjoying each stage for what it was. it may have cost me a little more but this in the end is definately a car i can call my own.

so, the engine is a strong one, it dyno'd at 341.5bhp, with only an FMIC, puck clutch and BOV as mods, picked up 'car of the day' at the dyno against some great cars. very chuffed smile

Problems did start, the main being, as i mentioned. the random rubber stuck under a valve that seen the car off the road for 3 months and a heafty bill, luckily nothing was damaged and it was a simple case of removal, head off joby.

got some pics once i got it back-

and now some saving began, over time i picked up these-

Tein lowering springs
carbon diffuser
carbon front lip
carbon rear boot lip
blitz skirts
new disks and pads all round
new falken 452's all round.
HID kit
Facelift rear lights

So, finally a month ago the car went into the bodyshop, plan was, despoiler, remove rear wiper and nozle, remove arial, remove numberplate surrounds, fill all holes inc fog hole, i also got a crack reparied in the rear quarter behind the wheel from the previous owner reversing into a high curb. skirts on and sprayed.

So, i was kinda winging it hopeing that everything would work together and tie in in the end, but i suppose i'll let you decide..

so next plan is the wheels, facelift front lights then bpu to around 400bhp and the dash will be getting retrimmed in black leather with red stitching as soon as i get funds.

some quick videos of the car, all done on my iphone 4 (i'm no film maker lol), also the whole 'team-beard' thing is just me and a group of mates having a laugh, got some cool stickers made up for our cars too. smile

getting a good wash and wax-

sorry for such a big first post lol, thanks for reading. smile

I really like that, not usually a huge Supra fan. I think that's largely down to you taking off the disgusting (IMO) spoiler and replacing it with a much nicer, subtle one.

thanks guys, i prefer the spoilerless look on supra's, just think it brings the shape and lines out of the car better, keeps it a bit more 'classy' too imo. smile

@Macleod1873 i'm up in Aberdeen bud.

I like it although I'd colour code the carbon fibre bits.

Lovely motor, spoiler-less look is great!

What was it like in non-turbo form? Are they gutsy enough to keep up with lets say a BMW 325 or 328?

hey, i don't really know much about the bmw's but on paper it seems they would be pretty much the same, imo the na has nothing on the turbo but the na engine although hard to tune it is absolutely bullet proof! around the same weight and the na engine has 220hp.

i'm on Dee street just down from Pearl lounge, the car is parked off the street though in private parking (sorted that situation pronto after some scum randomely smashed my windscreen and dented my bonnet frown)

i'm always roaming about though so no doubt you'll see me at some point, so give us a wave biggrin

Congrats, really like that, love the red interior, and even the alloys! I too would colour code the CF stuff. Lovely, fella.
