My Royal Blue Mk2 Golf gti 8v
Discussion
Hello everyone,
Thought i would share some pictures of my Gti, bought as a cheaper alternative of commuting to work than my BMW (and with an idea of using it as a beginners car at track days).
It really is a hoot, no PAS, fitted with eibach anti roll bars and a TSR s/steel manifold, it handles brilliantly, but an inevitable move to london and the fact its far too nice to strip and track will mean it has to go soon
Here are some pictures, i know it has E30 wheels, i couldn't find a decent set of RA's that didnt cost a small fortune so these were the next best thing.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone, it is a credit to its previous owners who obviously loved and cherished it.
These engines do seem to run forever my last one also had 180,000, this "only" has 118,000. Very torquey motor can drive around in 5th all day, there is no real point to in revving it over 4k rpm.

Yes it will qualify for classic insurance. Usually needs to be kept in a garage over night and to be limited mileage etc, worth checking out though. BTW I saw your advert on Club Gti - absolute bargain, not many other MK2's out there at such good value if it's as good as it looks in the pics.
