My 2003 996 Carrera Tiptronic, Basalt Black with Green leather interior , has less than 40k Miles , benefits from Porsche Sports suspension ,Porsche sports exhaust, PCMII, lots of extras apart from Bose and memory seats. A1 condition i have been given a good offer to swap for a 2001 360 Modena, F1, metallic light blue with black leather interior, FFSH, some aftermarket park sensors at the rear which colour painted but ugly, very good condition, basic spec no elec seats but sounds and drives fantastic .

Not using the 996 for daily usage , mainly weekend car and some evenings.

Any thoughts/ feedback / experiences of the 360 will be greatly appreciated

Mate, I've not had either of those myself (I'm 20 years old) but IMO you should go for the Ferrari for two reasons:

1. You've had your Porsche, time to try something different.
2. Who dosn't want to be able to say "I'll take the Ferrari today"

HTH.

I'm also thinking this is for General Gassing as it's more a "What car?/Should I?" thread like so many others there......

Didn't you just post in F,M,L & B complaining you never really use your 575?

What would be the point in getting another Ferrari if that's the case?

Regardless of the 575 and turning into a garage queen , I have been given a good deal on the 996 versus a 360 , so I am asking others whats their opinion as I have had the 996 for some yeras now and and its a really good deal , assuming the 360 is 100% ok . I see no reason why not got fopr the 360 if it all checks out etc , regardless of the 575, after all there are only about 5 575s as far as i know in Greece so its a collector's car here anyways !!!! I hope that clarifies the question and if you know any specifics i should be careful about the 360 that would be appreciated as well as an opinion on the question of 360 vs 996 as i think there is a lot of know how in th is forum and thats why i ask such questions

Fair enough.

If it was me, I'd go for the swap.

Personally i really like the green interior and tippy or F1 is a must as difficult to drive a manual due to circumstances

I am gering towards the 360 ... thanks all for the views etc . Will probably end up with two garage queens but i am a sofa king my self so nothing new there biggrin

Indeed. My car dealer friend has had a nephrite green/seal grey 996 for around 7months now. It won't shift and he's got it on cheap. OP - get rid whilst you can at a reasonable price!

Personally i really like the nephrite green and prefer it to black leather but not to tan. Anyways thanks all for the feedback , the 360 is in very light blue colour has the challenge grill on the back and its black leather , only 38000Km.... I am having a test drive tomorrow ;-)
