Nice one! Have you tried some leather feed yet? It may tidy it up till you get it done properly.
I'll look into that
Driver's side bolster is showing a fair bit of wear as well, maybe the last owner was a fat bar-steward.B3njamin said:
I'm going to look like a right wally.. but is that round thing on the engine cover a speaker grill?
I feel clueless for asking and I'm sure that's not what it is.
Lovely car by the way.

Yup, it's a speaker. The Mondeo ST was introduced at a time of get strife at Ford, with workers threatening industrial action due to their working conditions. Bob Sucker, head of workforce motivation at the time came up with the genius idea of installing a speaker under the bonnet, citing that this simple and cheap fix would enable Ford workers throughout the world to listen to the music of their choice whilst working on Ford cars, thus demonstrating Fords commitment to the working conditions of their global workforce.I feel clueless for asking and I'm sure that's not what it is.

This simple idea was so effective that not only was industrial action avoided, BS also won the booker peace price for industrial relations.
