So after getting back from my round the world adventure the hunt began for some new wheels and as some of you may have seen in GG I was swaying towards a barge namely the XJ6. After a frustrating week of waiting to view what I felt may be the one Saturday finally came and I viewed this one which was listed in the classifieds here and it really did tick all the boxes so bought it there and then.

Its a 96 Flamenco red 3.2 X300 model with oatmeal leather and plenty of options ticked from new. So far put a couple of hundred miles on it and love it! Will update this in a week or so once I have driven it a bit more for now hope you enjoy the pics.

Very nice cool

My old man used to have a 4.0 Sovereign about 8 years ago in the same colour and same interior shade.

He sold it at 250,000 miles and it's still going (I've seeen it about wink ) He offered it to me for £1500................................................................. I turned him down banghead

Sports pack upgrade (Lattice alloys, slightly lowered suspension), A/C rather than climate control, cruise control....

What's the performance like?

(Good choice by the way.)

Never going to set the world alight but it is a lovely wafter. Came out of the factory with 216bhp. It is beautiful just getting up to speed on the motorway and flicking on the cruise control.
