I never did post pics of my car when I signed up. Figured I'd bore you all with them now!!
As a few others have done, here's what the Elise followed.

I only had the Pug for 2 months, it was unfortunately written off. It was just a stand-in while I saved up for the Lotus though, so not the end of the world.
Couple of months hunting for the perfect S1, and ended up with this.

The inside:

Aluminium gearknob gets stupidly cold, so a matching knob hat...

And a couple of snaps of car in use/out and about:

Thanks for looking, and hope you like it as much as I do

I can't believe you just typed "Knob Hat".
Sweet car though.
And then kindly supplied a photo of yourself that some of the lower moral PH based photoshoppers could surely adorn with a suitable "Knob Hat" Sweet car though.

Joking aside, lovely condition S1 that has sent me off to the classified to look to try to find another one for myself!

Lovely Elise. I was trying to persuade the missus to let me buy an S1 in addition to the 111R in a couple of years but she won't comply, instead insisting that I need to save up for something with a V8. What a spoil-sport. Enjoy it!
That'd be a great combo. I quite fancy a supercharged S2 to go with the S1! As my practical car!! It's surprising how different the S1s and S2s feel to drive, I'd be more than happy to have both.
What sort of V8?

oh man, every time a 106 GTI gets written off a little part of me dies inside. lovely lotus tho!
106 was ace, I shall have another at some point. I like small cars, they're much more fun, and none of the current hatches do it for me. No worries - the write off was only a rear quarter panel dent. Literally nothing else - £1700 the insurance claimed, so wrote the car off.
It's been fixed and is somewhere in Wales, as far as I'm aware.

I went out in a friend's Honda engined S1 on Saturday and it was very different to mine. Nearer to an S2 than any other car, but a different experience again. I must get a drive in one one day soon.

Nice little Lotus there. Is it a daily driver?
Thanks! It's my only car, I don't currently have space for more than one. I work from home though, so it only gets used for fun/shopping runs/trips to the golf course!
It gets used in all weather though - have done about 5000 miles in it since June. I've tried to run it at least every day or three in the past month - everything round here seems to be breaking left right and centre, and would prefer it if i don't have to faff around trying to recharge the battery (awkward access).
Has done a relatively large 75,000 miles, but as you can tell the paint is pretty immaculate, interior has been retrimmed, new roof etc. Mechanically, just about everything that can be updated or changed has been.
And, surprisingly, so far it's been the most reliable car I've ever had! Bar the 106, which was also perfect for 2 months (doesn't really count, does it...).
