Ok it's a very leftfield. Massively far out and an utter death trap.

But that's not the point. 90 built and maybe 30 live. Yes I have driven it legally on the road and it does get noticed!

No brake lights. No reverse. No performance. Take a left a bit sharpish and you're going down the road on your offside. Mind you it has a cracking 49cc DKW (Zweirad Union) two stroke motor. Avoid pot holes with those 5" wheels. No dampers just springs. Superheats in the summer! Only car built on the Isle of Man. Oh and the Peel P50 which I have too!

More Warhol than car. A true Sixties icon. Love at first sight!! How many cars can you keep in your spare room?!

£189 new but not cheap now. Bit of period footage if you're interested.

Hehe. I spoke to a bloke who's dad let him have one in '65 as it was perceived safer than a bike. He rolled it! Routemaster bus wheels are a much taller!

They are basically a fiberglass covered moped. As is the P50. From a bygone age.

Every petrolhead on here must have seen the TG sketch with Clarkson driving around West London in a Blue P50. Then around the BBC centre oggling Fiona Bruces bottom.

I drove mine over Tower Bridge once and nearly caused a pile up with rubber neckers. It ways 200lbs. I weigh 140! Not for tall people. If you have a big lunch top speed goes from 40 to 35mph. Mind you it does 100mpg.

I just love the insane spaceship styling of the Trident. Yanks are big into them now and there's none for sale as collectors sit very tight. Once they leave these shores they're not coming back.

Before anyone says it, no it would not be a good idea to put a big bike big motor in it. You'd last about 3 minutes before carnage ensued. They are leathal enough with 4.2 bhp.

Looks nice but at that money they are a vast amount of cars I would rather own personally. I would love to see this drive past on the road however would certainly raise a smile

It's not considered a car. Never was. It's an icon and collectors will pay for a piece. They're investments. Like that 50m vase. 30 left and none for sale. You can buy a 2.7 RS , series 1 Etype all day long. Find one of these in the mags. It's a museum piece and appeals to a certain collector.

No way i'd take it on a proper road - be too scared of totalling it. Well, injuring myself too. Or parking it, in case it gets stolen

Very quirky- micro bubble thing. I'd sell it if not used- get something more useful you can enjoy daily.
