Day off today so decided to have a go at striping... biggrin

Before:

After:

£12 for the stripes, £2 for a knife. The masking tape, marker pen and hairdryer that were also needed, I already had so cost around £0.00 hehe

Took about 30-35 mins to fit, quite pleased with the result vs the cost of the outlay.

Too skinny and not really feeling the fake carbon-fibre-ness. Look nice and straight though! Fitted some to my E30 for LM a few years ago, pretty fiddly job to get spot on!

Like the idea but think they are far too skinny at the moment some thicker one's would look a lot better imo

I'm thinking there's already enough black on the car and now it looks a little too busy, IMO of course. smile

Like 'em. Do they go over the boot as well? If not, they need to.

They look great! I think it'd look daft any thicker.

It’s certainly a job well done and who cares about what others think really, however..............

I often see stripes on cars that can’t cash the sporty cheques they are writing, if that makes sense, and this car is doing this for me.

Its only a personal opinion though and it does look ok, just unsure if it suits the car?????

I think the Smart's sporty, just not fast.

Maybe that's what's not working for me. Stripes originated on high end performance and track cars, anything else wearing them just seem to be trying to be the above. On a Viper or simular it seems to work but not on all cars even if they are both sporty and fast. They wouldnt work on my car!

I kind of thought wider striped would over power the car and end up covering almost all of the bonnet. I'd seen some and some with a big and small stripe (4 in total) and they where a little ott imo.
