Tribute to my GTO (and you pistonheads lot!) PIC HEAVY

My first ever proper car has just (2 weeks ago, just hadn't posted this on here yet) been taken away by a recovery truck from the insurance company. I'm now officialy GTO-less 
I could probably have had her fixed up again, but she had some bits that needed sorting anyways, and with her current millage (121.000) i'm not sure if it's wort spending another 2K doing her up, so i've decided to let her go, cross my fingers the insurance will stuff offer me some decent money for her, and start looking for another new, a mark 2 this time, which has the round headlights instead of pop ups and a couple other bits and bobs.
I've had a really good time with my GTO though and enjoyed every single minute, it was my first proper performance car and i've been on a lot of adventures i wouldn't have been on without her.
I bought her on 16-05-2008 from a private seller in Kent, costing me £ 2.500, and i was the 3rd owner in the UK since import and one of the owners had already been a GTO UK Club member as there were stickers on the car.
It came with all the documents, including even the orginal purchase receipt (in Japanse) and a copy of a Japanse driving licence.
She had done 99.160 miles when i got her, and just had a big service at Eurospec done so was in a good condition.
The end milage now is 121.423 so that's a grand total of 22.263 miles in 2 years and 8 months, averaging about 8300 miles per year, with it beeing my daily driver.
I was gonna put a few picures on from events i've taken her on, but there have been so many that i got carried away a little bit....

I went to view her a few days before i bought her, that's my Celica GT next to her.
The day i bought her, had to pick her up in the evening and then go straight into a 12hour nightshift, couldnt' wait to get for a proper testdrive the very next morning.

But with help from the club the car allways got sorted again
Drive back home to Holland in february 2009 and 2010
Yes, do they have right of way....
Dutch countryroads, great fun....
And then offcourse there are all the runs organised by people on here. I've been to some cracking events and runs over the years, and through which i made some good friends as well.
I've never been made felt out of place in my little 16 year old Japanse car, despite beeing surrounding by some truly exotic supercars, worth so much money, and i'm truly proud to be a member of Pistonheads and would like to thank the folks on here organsing the events and inviting me along, with a special thanks to Bachi and Jay.

And the many runs i've been on, either runs to big events (Virgina waters, Top Gear Track, Xmas Meet, Wilton house), or just runs for the sake of it, meeting up at different locations on a sunday morning 06:00 AM, and then going for a 100 - 200 mile blast through the countryside, ending up in a pub or we'd have a BBQ before everyone goes home again.
Events like "dash for the coats", the kent runs, and the Goodwood Breakfast club runs.

Following an F40 through the Dartford tunnel is truly an experience :-)
I got invited along on "Thunder in the tunnels" by the TVR club, which was basically a tunnel run through central London. It was just me and a guy in a Lotus Espit that were the only non TVR's. It took a week for my hearing to come back after that event lol
And the picnic at Hever castle from the Lamborghini club was also a great day out, including an awesome hoon back, following a couple diablo's through the Dartford tunnel, got some great video's of that.
And the run to and on the Top Gear track each year is allways great fun too :
Unfortunately, after nearly 3 years of fun, this is how she looks now, after my crahs a few weeks ago :
She has just disapeared on a back a of lowloader.
Not a nice sight
Goodbye K85 TLB, we had some good times.
For now the only racing i'll be doing will be in my living room (and behind the wheel of the rapid response cars at work) :
Not as much fun, but not as expensive either when you crash...
Hopefully within a month or 2 i'll have found myself another nice GTO/3000GT so i can make many more happy memmories and meet loads more interesting people.

That was a great story that, almost inspirational tbh, as if it's possible for most people passionate about cars to do similar.

Sorry for the loss of your GTO must of been gutting to see it get towed off down the street.
How your ok, from the accident, looks bad with it being bashed from either end...
& Great gaming set up, i would love a g37!
