Bought this last week, as SWMBO goes diving most weekends and is getting a bit hacked off with a tent. Took it out today to the Welsh coast and enjoyed a hearty breakfast of eggs, bacon, beans and lashings of hot tea!
It's a V6 2.5 petrol , automatic with a host of standard equipment including A/C front and rear. Cooker , fridge , sink and sleeps 4.....What more could you ask for?

Nice. I really like those.

Bloody pricey, though, aren't they?

Not really. It is getting on a bit [1998] but you can find good ones for £6k. Mine was imported in 2007 and converted over here. They are imported as 8 seat MPVs and then it's around £5k for a good conversion. What I liked about it was the fact it was a damn sight cheaper than a VW and narrower. Wifey goes diving in some really out of the way places so didn't want the hassle of a wider vehicle.
All in all should be fun!

Only one we have at the moment. It's fairly basic as you can see.

Didn't want anything too fancy as wifey will be chucking gas bottles and all her clobber in it. Sleeps 2 downstairs and two in the roof, which is electric also. Theres a really useful site, with a bunch of incredibly knowledgeable bods at www.bongofury.co.uk

Must admit they seem to think of everything you may need. Just behind the front passenger is a small jump seat, that flips forward so another person can sit at the rear table. It also has electric blinds all round, including the rear curtain. Clever chaps! With cameras all over the place it's actually more fun to drive than my 8 series BM!

My mum had an L300 Delica. Full lifted jobby, with electric curtains, captain seats, etc. Great fun.

Always fancied a nice Bongo! Though an MPV version. Where can I get a good one?

Theres quite a few dealers in the UK but all are independent as its a grey import. Most are on that website.... www.bongofury.co.uk or here http://www.japcarimport.co.uk/showroom/mazda/1/use...

Pop up on ebay but not sure of provenance but for an 8 seater they seem to be a bargain.
