Well, after 5 years of laziness, my mini finally has an MOT again!
It's a 1293 Turbo, with a few other tweaks. It's running a cheapo rollcage (with plans to change it) and not much else. I also have a set of split-rims that I need to paint, which are due to go on. Please ignore the paint, dents and rust, it's not designed to be a show-car!
It was rolling road tested at 11psi, and had 143bhp. The car now runs around 14/16psi. It weighs in at around 500kg, but I'm yet to have that confirmed since making a few tweaks. It has an ally boot floor, cut away door innards, rear bins, rear seat etc, holes drilled in all sorts of places, plastic windows..
Here's some pics:

Thanks for the kind comments chaps
Plenty of people on Turbominis.co.uk are running similar spec cars with weights around the 500-550kg mark. One is even 380kgs iirc.
It's running a recon standard gearbox and drops at the moment. A ticking time-bomb.

We'll see

Best of luck getting it weighed, but i'll eat my own underpants if thats less than 600 kilos.
My totally stripped, all metal removed, carbon fronted, KAD engined car was 640 with a full tank. My brothers car running all the carbon panels curley made at the time and running a complete force racing titanium front end (subframe, top and bottom arms, tie rods, hubs, ally belled disks) weighed in at 575 kilos - after 10 years and about 50 grand of development....
I think you'll find plenty of people tell porkies when it comes to the weight of mini's....
Not to take anything away from it though, I love them to bits and that looks like fun.

Perhaps you're right, Dan. After all we can only take what people say is true, as true.
I will get it weighed, but I'm in no rush. As with all minis it has a huge list of more important things to do first!
It's not very quick - more agresive. It pulls you around on the road like nobodies business!

A rather beastly Mini! Hope to own something similar within a few years myself so am very jealous!
