Current fleet: SI XJ6, SIII LR, Triumph Stag, BMW 328i

My 328i track day/daily slag. Very good actually, feels very quick on the road and keeps up on the track. It's well balanced so it handles well, but it very predictable so even a numpty like me can drive it without losing it. Does all the boring stuff (comfortable, climate control, good stereo, safe, cheap to buy and run, 38mpg on the motorway) but it's also a proper drivers car (IMHO).
Triumph Stag. Bit of a nightmare really. It was going OK until a head gasket let go, then it got left outside over winter so the paint has suffered. There are times I'm in it, with the sun out and the roof down that I don't see how life could get any better but it eats time and money. Just when I think it's nearly done something else goes wrong.
SIII Land Rover. Bought as a cheap way to go green laning/off roading it proved what I tell other people, cheap classics are very expensive. Unfortunately the engine let go a few months after I bought it so a friend and I had to put a new one in. I've also overhauled the brakes, the electrics and loads of other bits and pieces. Great fun to drive though (especially off-road), I have fallen for it's rufty tufty charm and everytime I start it up I can't help but remember the feeling I had when it started for the first time after we did the engine swap. Magical.
SI XJ6 4.2. My third Jaguar and I think my favourite, although as I write this I've only had it a few days. Gorgeous interior and an exquisitely detailed exterior, plus the wonderful 4.2 litre twin overhead cam straight 6....just perfect.

When I bought the Stag I knew it needs a few bits; electrics, clutch, brakes...someone had put these horrible after market wire wheels on it so we had to change all the wheel studs....a few interior bits etc but that was fine. I knew all that. It was all done, and driving superbly with just the carpets to change to finish it and then the head gasket went. It was then left outside over the winter while not in my care and the paint has suffered, so I almost feel like I'm back to square one with it now. At least the engine is back together now, and seems OK. I guess I have just forgotten why I like them so much, I'm sure driving it over the summer will remind me.
