1996 Golf GTI

Got this as a trade in and felt a bit sorry for it. Has had all the mechanical work done - Bilstein suspension, ventilated discs, etc, but the bodywork and alloys let it down badly. I should *really* have stuck it on gumtree and sold it on as it was, BUT i got the bodywork sorted out (bad score down lower passenger side £250), fitted refurbished 16 inch BBS alloys, replaced some missing trim, induction kit, new tyres and give it a good polish and clean out....

As said above... the BBS's do make a huge difference when combined with the polished up paint......

Ya spent same amount as the purchase price (give or take) to sort out issues - so, keeping it?

I have spent around £750 on it.....

Driving it myself at the moment, but have it advertised. Should have just sold it on, but it drives so well and i kind of fell for it.

Happy to hold on to it as its a fun little thing.

It was quite badly damaged along the bottom of the passenger door and into the rear panel.

You would have thought it had been sledged!

The guy did a sterling job repairing it.

Well pleased.
