My Second //M3 Estoril Blue M3 Convertible :)

Had some detailed threads on my old cars up on this site a few months back with my old //M3 and our MK2 Golf GTI 16v oak Bay green stunner

Well we replaced them two with this one













She is a 1 owner (well two now) Last owner had her since new, around 12 years. Has completed around 5000 miles since 2006.
Has the black dash and black nappa leather which is rare on a estoril convertible.
Just over 100k on the clock and within a couple years will be mint

Comments good and bad welcome.

Very nice mate, did the E36 M3's not all come with the Vador seats, and also the suspension seems to be quite high at the front.

All e36 M3's got vadars bar the Convertibles.

very very nice example..I have just sold my 2 owner M3 Convertible and replaced it with a mint 99 323 Convertible with a very rare spec and great history..these E36s make great buys at the moment, with good provenance and original spec that hasn't yet been owned by one of the Halfords boys

Vadars came in the coupes only.

That does look lovely, they have aged so well.

I remember having a flick through the original brochure when these came out, I was only young and my old man bought an E36 M3 Coupe. I used to think the shape of the convertible was so much better than the coupe, I still do.

Best colour too IMO.

Estoril blue is the best E36 Convertible colour IMHO. Great car OP

All depends what you paid, they have leveld at the moment and should start going up for nice ones in a year or two.

Looks lovely! Absolutely the best colour for these cars and that looks to be an excellent example. One thing: on the door rubbing strips you have badges that just say 'M' - I believe these are supposed to actually say 'M3' on an M3. The 'M' ones are from the Sport model IIRC.

Well noticed, these pop out with a screwdrivers nicely, which makes me believe someone has had it away with the original. Something else I will replace though.

Had a little play with a E90 M3 today, pants pulled down would be a good word but then I had the roof down and going around a long sweeping bend in a convertible compared to a coupe I think we did alright. E90's do sound lovely.

The more I think about it the more I think this car after the summer will be put up in a lockup and forgotten about for a few years. Bring it back out once all the boy racers have finished putting M3 bits on standard 318is etc.

Why? Did you buy it as an investment or something instead of to drive and enjoy?

Not really, but it would be nice to keep it out of the winter weather from now. Add that to the running costs of using it every day and it makes sense

Fair enough. I've never found mine to be particularly expensive to run really. Maybe a bit less than the E46 one was in servicing and tyres, but nothing too scary.

Always been a fan or Estoril!
