That's quite a change from an M3 and a motorbike!

While the tax may be cheaper, as your local Esso vendor will confirm the fuel bills will probably cost much more.

Just don't keep track and enjoy it. thumbup

Brilliant!

The V8 Bike Bus should be a legendary thread!

My wife has a 4.4 V8 on a 05 plate and she loved that car, I was also a fan. The panoramic sunroof needed some attention as it caused a leak, so if yours has that I would recommend cutting the end of the drainage tubes, as they are a stupid design and clog easily.

At the point she had that I had a 5.0 CLS and a 5.0 1981 Mercedes 500 SEL (which I still have) so it amused me that we had 14.4 litres of V8 on the drive at the same time.

I have a V6 Bike Bus in the shape of a Japanese imported 3.5l V6 petrol Viano, but just the one V8.

Enjoy, they are surprisingly car like to drive and we both enjoyed it whilst she had it.

Congratulations.

I have the 4.8 in a E60 five series.

Half your oil changes and if it is the same V8 as mine then replace the plastic oil filter canister underneath.

But a lot of car for the money for sure.

These are super tempting. Looks way nice in that blue rather than the normal estriol.

This is bringing serious memories back for me, and I had a 2004 X5 4.8iS back in 2010. I had it for 17 months and 15k miles, and I absolutely loved it to bits(well apart from the 12mpg on my 44 mile a day commute though! laugh).

Enjoy yours, and I look forward to following your experience with it for sure. thumbup

This looks great. I wanted one for years and I'd love to run one alongside my M3, but one V8 is enough to fuel for me

I don't know how anyone trusts garages.

They'd just shrug if you went back and told them.
