Seen people like these ride alongs so why not mine. Love a good train ride but the only reason I ever take one now is to buy a car or motorbike as it just costs too much. Anyway you’ll have to wait to see if I buy it with the petrol station photo and that will also reveal what it is. Little hint, I’ve never had a supercharger before.

Hmm intriguing....

Jaguar?

I sadly have to spend more time than I would like on trains, and never to buy cars. I think the Thameslink between London and Brighton is possibly the most dreary thing imaginable!

Some of those do sound nice but sadly or happily probably happily this is well deep into shed budget territory. It isn’t terribly exciting but it’s the sort of thing I like.

Talking of the train fares being so ludicrous that it makes one avoid them......

I need to be in Rotterdam the weekend of the start of the school holidays in the UK.

Ferry/Chunnel costs are sky-high, then there's the long boring drive plus cost of fuel.

I came back the other day and I left Rotterdam about 1230pm and wasn't home in West London until gone 9pm.

Harwich to Hoek is about £600 economy return that weekend.

Flight on BA was only £240 but my brother told me to look at Eurostar. Well normally I do check and it's usually north of £400 but they had no tickets yet for sale leading up to that weekend but there on the Saturday was £39.

Bet they'll sting me for the return. No! got a £39 coming back too. £78 return, 3.5 hours each way. smile

Back on topic, have we seen the car yet biggrin
