After under a year of trouble free ownership of a 4200CC, I decided on a change.

After loads and loads of beating around the bush and looking at a number of cars varying in price from £10.5k to £30k I settled on this one. 67k miles, full history etc.

I’m not overly keen on the black wheels but I’ll live with them for now. I do utterly love the way it looks, sounds and the colour combination. It really is worlds apart from the 4200CC.

It’s my daily but I don’t use it every day. Fingers crossed…..

Very nice!

How would you compare it to the 4200?

Enjoy!

Thanks. It’s very different. The ZF gearbox is definitely better for me. Faster and smoother shifts.

The luxury is a total different level. The 4200 is sportier and the GranTurismo a bonafide GT car.

Thats very nice indeed, the interior against the body colour is fantastic.

I get where youre coming from with the wheels but it suits the look.

As above, lovely colour combo. Agree on the wheels; I'd be changing them back to silver to compliment the bits of chrome trim.

I've had one of these on my wishlist for a very long time and may be an owner soon. Like you, I prefer the slushbox for everyday usability.

With Maserati's, isn't this the equivalent of betting the house on red, winning, then instead of thinking "I got lucky there" going "Spin it again!" biglaugh

Hopefully it's as equally as reliable wink

Thanks all for the replies.

The wheels were originally anthracite, but I suspect I will go to silver at some point.

I’ll keep you posted regarding reliability etc!

Certainly a brave pill is the 4200, however both look stunning cars
Porn star red interior is a brave choice. Is it that bright in real life?

Yep, it’s very, very bright. And all the better for it! (imo)

I’ll take some better pics of the interior shortly.

In the meantime here is its predecessor which was a bit more subtle

Lovely car and a car that I keep thinking about in the future! not sure I could live with the red interior though.

Dark grey or silver for the wheels.

Lovely car OP! I have been looking at a few lately (2012). There are gorgeous, my only concern is reliability and cost if anything goes wrong. Saying that I had an e34 M5 which will make any Italian car sound reliable. Still I loved every miles in it.

I’m pleased it’s generating some love!

First minor upgrade is a rear lip spoiler I reckon. A subtle one.

Although again I’m not sure. The rear is pretty fine already.

Very nice. The back seats even seem somewhat usable.

There is a decent amount of room in the back, there was in the 4200 too.
