Possibly the oldest 2.0 in the country…
Owned for a few years now, alas she has been in my lockup for many, many months while life got in the way.
That will soon change as I retired on 30/4/26.
Apart from the BFOW she is as she left the factory,
I have done all the back end, floor pan, belts, water pump and leaking rack.
Still more to do.

That's lovely, R plates have been rare for a while.
I prefer the clean lines of the non-sport pack cars, especially if they still have the original 15" Pepperpot alloys. Also love the wood pack. The big wing spoiler is not my cup of tea naturally, but even so it defines the confidence that came with the 156 on launch. My favourite interior by far is the original velour trim, blue I guess on yours, along with those deep pile floor mats? If it has the momo upgrade, no complaints really either. Lovely car, and in pure form the 156 has been a neglected classic for years. Well done for keeping it!

The 156 V6 I drove was the bosses. It was black with black leather and the wooden rimmed steering wheel. A Manager in my job prior to that had a TS, and I really liked the look of the white dial with the little inset LCD display.Fantastic cars. I had a V6 for 6 months, was faultlessly reliable to everyone's amazement, but vert very thirsty - 16mpg around town! But one of the prettiest designs ever, and an engine to die for.
Some things were silly though - hgv sized turning circle, hates speed bumps. But the closest to a Ferrari I'll ever get.

Great cars.... if you know , you know...sort of a car.
My first 156 ( also my first Alfa ....!) was a 1.8 TS in silver with black leather which I bought from a friend.
I put a Cybox stainless back box on it, which made all the difference ....the sound was amazing in 3rd at 6000 revs.
I also de-badged it, has the rear windows tinted and put it on 16" Teledials for a more discrete look.
I am sure you know all the things to be aware of with these cars... it sounds like you have had them done...
I thought I knew about 156s...until one of the rear spring 'cups' gave way on the A1, causing the tyre to shred. The water collects if the drain holes are blocked and the cup just rusts out ...
I had the 4 wheel alignment done which made quite a difference, and the front wishbones seemed to last a decent length of time on my car, probably because the main roads in Co Durham are quite good....I know others treated the LCAs as consumables in some parts of then UK....!!!
That 156 was followed by my second Alfa ....a 2005 156 JTDM 150 with a solid remap to around 180BHP...the torque was immense ...I did over 100,000 miles in that car, including a few track days and a European Trip ....
It was probably the best car I have ever owned and I only parted with it due to rust in the chassis rails....
