Had a fun afternoon at Icons of Porsche today.

As you can well imagine, lots of interesting stuff to see. The highlight for me was the GT1 (first one I'd ever seen in person). I also loved the vast array of Carerra GT's and older stuff.

They had the new Turbo S on display which is really just business as usual and the new electric Cayenne which I thought was pretty decent looking in person.

What I didn't enjoy was the abundance of amateur "content creators" who couldn't give a sh*t about my 6yr old wanting to look at cars...... instead they were quite happy to push their way in and get their shots.

Few snaps.

It was a decent event, I've been every year since it started and it's growing.
You missed the best car on display there....my Martini 930.

I also liked the 997 desert racers, I've got a 997 C2S that I was going to sell but now I'm tempted.

This is the 2nd year running we've been. Really enjoyed it.

My eldest got a snap of your car on his phone.....it looked great.

Thanks for sharing the snaps! I'm so gutted - I have tickets to go but instead (ironically) had to drop my Porsche into Al Nabooda for emergency warranty work today which threw all my plans out...! Might still try to make it this evening, but if not guess it will be next year!

That's a shame.

If you've got a Sunday ticket (I don't think you can pay at the gate) then it does stay open until 11pm. I was honestly tempted to go again without the family in tow. The weather is just perfect now and I'd happily spend a few hours exploring!

Al Nabooda have a nice little coffee stall there.....go get your money's worth!!
