facelifted 996 - from when?

When did the first facelifted 996's appear; with the 2002 MY so September 2001? Thanx.

On aug 1st 2001 my local OPC had the facelift 996 in their showroom, so maybe a little earlier than sept 01. A great day, ordered two porsches, one for me and a pedal boxster for my uncles 2 year old.
