Tried connecting to the power socket on the transmission tunnel on the passenger side but it doesn't work, I run a dash cam from the socket so it does work.

Anyone?

Is it "always on" or does it shut off when the ignition goes off or a fixed period after the ignition goes off?

Better to charge at the battery, I'd have thought.

I have not tried the 12v cabin socket but there are reports on RL forum of it timing out after 30 minutes. I use (and always have with previous 911s) the terminal posts in the frunk. In the case of the 992.2 GTS and Turbo S, they are remote posts as the battery is under / behind the rear seats. I have a extension cable connected to them so I don't have to remove the trim piece / tray each time I connect and disconnect, although it's only a 10 second job!
