See here for adverts and details but in a nutshell

Car sold at the end of 2012 with almost 250k miles

Car readvertised on eBay in jan 2013 with no mileage, enquiries made and seller advises car has 75k miles...

Draw your own conclusions...

Seems the ad has now been removed. Disgusting people. Would have hoped the discrepancy came up in HPI though, owing to MOT mileages.

Still there for me

Amazing how many people don't check mot history or hpi...

I would only advise anyone interested to check CAREFULLY.....great cars, when they have no faults or stories attached.

Personally I think the car looks like a cracker. It's just the seller that lets it down.

Agreed, that car would be a good buy,if sold honestly with regards mileage, history, any faults etc....indeed at £6.5 when sold in December i thought it was a decent buy.Shame about the seller. Not the cars fault.

Has anyone clicked the "report item" link on the eBay listing?

It'd also be worth a call to trading standards (whether a trade or private sale doesn't matter), they're keen to stop this sort of thing.

It's back

Looks like he has realised his mistake. Hidden in the body of the text it the confirmation that whilst the clock shows 76,000 miles, the car has done 248,000 plus...it's actually done over 248,000...

The error of his ways in having it clocked, or not stating that the mileage was wrong in the listing?

Feedback as a seller makes for interesting reading....

It was sold at the end of last year with 148k showing on the clock, a couple of weeks ago he advertised the car with no mileage and confirmed verbally it had 80k miles.

He has now readvertised it detailing the discrepancy.

He really didn't think tho through did he...

Think you've got your links messed up as I'm getting M5s. But anyway, also seen that Cayenne back on eBay again. Now in Birmingham I think.

If you bought it, would it be possible to clock back to approx real mileage so it was honest again?

Wouldn't a 100k mileage car be say 10k?

But let's say last mot was 6 months ago and says 250k miles, so honest mileage is 250 plus something. Would anyone change the clock to 250 from 80 on the basis it's not 100% right but a hell of a lot more correct?

Perhaps a stupid question but how does one clock a modern car? Do you just need knowledge of ECU programming like a chip company has?
