I'm due to collect a new 911 GTS on Thursday. Thing is, I don't really want it any longer.

Question is, can I legally cancel the order and get my deposit back? Has anyone had any experience of this with Porsche?

As it's essentially a custom order (you chose the spec) if you cancel I would expect you to lose your deposit. However, your OPC may show goodwill and return it but I doubt they legally have to.

I think you're being extremely unreasonable if you expect a full refund on a £100K + personally specced Porsche just two days before delivery date..Best course for you is to ask your OPC to sell it on a SOR basis and take a measly £2-3K hit..
You really should have thought about this at least two months ago not now..!

I agree, it's unreasonable of me.

Think I'm just going to have to take the car and enjoy it for a couple of months and punt it in the summer.

Just not as excited by it as I should be. I added about £13k of kit onto it so it's a nice spec.

you might like it, for me it seems the best 911 for sale today for a daily.

Sometimes a little challenging to get excited by the prospect of a cold chunk of metal.

Go see it, as that may help. If not, then chalk it up to experience.

That's a very brave colour for a GTS, no wonder you changed your mind.

I hope you like deep baths, because you're going to be taking one come resale.

I love the bright / unusual colours. Speed yellow and rubystone! Favourite is smurf blue!

Watch a few youtube clips of 911s to boost your enthusiasm. I watched the Indiana Singer video (again) today and am itching to get out in my 996 but too much salt and iminent bad weather.

Take it and run it for a bit - I’m sure your mojo will be back.
