My garage is full of crap, so my 718 Cayman has been resigned to the driveway during all these snowstorms to brave the elements. It’s my daily driver but the RWD on summer tyres means there’s absolutely no chance of me driving it at all until the snow clears. Luckily, I work from home, so it’s not an issue being stranded.

Where are the rest of your cars at? Locked up in a garage or still in use? Thought it would be interesting to see what everyone else does with their car during adverse weather like we currently have.

I snapped some pictures this morning as the snow began to fall, and the Miami Blue really pops against the white. If you’ve got any pictures of your Porsche in the snow, let’s see!

Wise decision. I was working nights on Monday when the snow came down, and driving home Tuesday morning proved what I suspected was going to be the case; my Cayman is crap in the snow. Managed to get home ok, but really struggled to get it on to the drive, and any slope from the road on to the drive is barely discernible.

Both toys in the garage. All the crap rammed in the shed and periphery of garage!

I’m hoping a couple of weeks and we can see the back of this bad weather!

There was light snow the day I brought my Cayman home and I remember driving down a hill only to feel the car slipping away from me and nearly slamming my brand new alloys into the kerb... They really are dreadful in the snow, and always prove an eventful trip... Glad you made it home safe!

I use my Cayman S all year round - got a set of Gen 1 18" wheels with Winter Tyres that turn it from an undriveable nightmare in the snow (at least with my lack of driving skills - seemed the worst car I've ever driven on snow to me) to an all weather weapon. As long as the hill isn't too steep! But mainly I find it a lot less squirrely in cold and "greasy" roads, it hardly snows much in Yorkshire (today aside).

My 996 turbo did me well on winters today, took 50 mins to do 16 miles (double normal time) but it was fine. Saw an xj squirrelling around going up a hill but didn't see any accidents.

Had my 964 out today for a 200 mile round trip to get the cabriolet roof replaced - best part of 3 hours there this morning and 90 minutes back tonight ! Car behaved perfectly in the snow this morning, but was way more fun on the way home on a mixture of fast A roads and some M25/M3. It’is now safely tucked up in the garage before more snow arrives tomorrow !
