New rear tyres, but which ones do I need

I'm off to Europe soon and should change my rears.
They are not worn out, but I've three trips planned and at some point they will be. So, rather than discover I'm down to the carcass half way across France/Germany/Italy, I reckon I should change them now.
But which ones do I buy.
I'm driving a 997.2 C2S and don't track it or race it. Just spirited driving and cruising about.
Its currently on Michelin Pilot Sports, with N2 written on them. (What does that mean)
I see Pirelli does a lot of advertising in the Porsche Club magazine.
Any recommendations.
I'm more interested in grip (in the dry), noise and wear. Price is not on the top of the list of concerns.

If you have a Porsche GB warranty, you are not allowed to pick tyres without the correct N rating, Porsche should be able to advise you, and Blackcircles has an icon too. I believe the system runs N0 to N7. Wikipedia will help too.
Simply put, you pay £1000s for the Porsche warranty, but if you break the car with the wrong type of rubber on the wheels then Posrche can rip up your warranty.

If not, then Michellins, Pirelli, Bridgestone, any of companies with a racing pedigree.
I have always put Michellins on mine, (no warranty) and have Pilot Sport 4s, but unless you're a racing driver or run them in a side by side comparison, you're not going to know the difference between the big players.
Simply put, you pay £1000s for the Porsche warranty, but if you break the car with the wrong type of rubber on the wheels then Posrche can rip up your warranty.

PS2's although a good tyre are old tech and have been superseded by the Pilot Super Sport, which has recently been replaced by the Pilot Sport 4S (PS4S) - However neither of these has gone through the N-Rating certification.
If you want N rated Michelin, as far as I know its PS2 or Cup2

Super sports are N rated.
