GT2 Folding bucket seats - bolster protectors
Discussion
I have the GT2 style folding bucket seats (with carbon backs) in my 2014 Cayman S, and despite my best efforts the outer bolsters are getting a bit worn and will only get worse over time. Searching around, it seems that there are one or two suppliers of bolster protectors for the 918 style seats, but not for my seats.
Anyone know if someone, somewhere, is making such a thing for this seat?
Thanks!

I got mine from Autosport Bespoke. They make them from the same material as the seats. So in my case alcantara. They are lovely and fit perfectly as well as doing the job nicely.
Think they were about £100 for a pair.
Thanks for the reply. That's a great price! However, I can't find them online and a post on the Cayman Owners Club forum (from late 2016) suggests that they are no longer trading, unfortunately. Think they were about £100 for a pair.

Are they still around? Thought they ceased trading? If they're still going can you put their contact details up please?Think they were about £100 for a pair.
OP really needs to follow the best method of getting in and out without touching the bolsters. I did 20,000kms in mine and the bolsters were like new at the end of it. Throw your left leg over the bolster then push your weight with your right hand wrist to straddle your body over the bolster and fall in to the seat. You wrist takes all the weight and you never touch the sides.

Fair comment. I am reasonably careful to get in and out "properly", but don't always. The wear is not excessive, but I just don't want it to get any worse, hence the idea to look at some sort of bolster protection.Forums | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
