Porsche Stops Selling New Cars in Europe!
Discussion
According to this German site they've had to stop selling new cars in Europe as they can't meet new emissions regs

Just tried this with several models on the Porsche GB site and get the following
"Due to an upcoming revision of specification, this model is not currently available for configuration as a new factory order. Please continue to use the Car Configurator to explore the model. For more information regarding availability please contact your preferred Porsche Centre."

It's all over Google right now.
Should push up the value of mine nicely now no more new cars will ever be built.
At least they've taken the correct action this time and self-regulated themselves before another scandal. No doubt other VAG brands will cease to exist too.
Farewell Porsche.

Amazing how value always makes its way into almost every thread.
Given most cars haemorrhage the money you invested from the day you take delivery, is it really that amazing? However futile it may be, surely most people give some consideration if theres a way to stem the flow, even if they don't say it openly.Eddy5 said:

Apart from the new Hybrid, all the Cayennes have been showing that message for a couple of weeks. It popped up a couple of days before I took delivery of mine."Due to an upcoming revision of specification, this model is not currently available for configuration as a new factory order. It's got to create a hole in the revenue of the dealers this year. The new emissions regs are much tougher to meet than the old ones, which were ridiculously easy going. It seems to have caught the manufacturers out a bit.
They’ve ordered loads of stock cars in, you can still walk into a dealer and purchase a new car, you just can’t currently spec one. And if you ordered a car now, you would normally expect to wait 6 months plus for it anyway, and in 6 months (well 4 months) theyll start producing again, so it’s really not that bad.

Are there really plenty of cars kicking around? Risky if they get it wrong as they have to be registered by end Aug.Mind you, saw a TV advert last night for Macan which surprised me in view of the lead-time for them.
