On my bro's 997 Turbo gen 1, when parked up for a while we noticed there is a little bit of oil left on the floor underneath the car, it is located in the rear, drivers side. The car drives well, unsure on oil usage, looked at the engine as much as I can and engine looks dry apart from the oil filler neck(pic below) any ideas?

Could be loads of things but the first thing I would be checking for is cap on secure and o-ring is ok.
Has it had any work done recently?

On my 996, likely cam covers. I live with it.

Must admit had the rocker covers done on my 997 too. They were not really bad but covered under warranty.

Thanks, he had his exhaust changed recently? He is reluctant to take to indie as car was detailed recently, but best to get it checked over once he finds an indie he gets on with.

Give it a clean down with some BCE and then go for a short drive to try and trace where its coming from.
