Inability to order a new 991.2...

Hi all, just wondering what differing stories people have heard about this as there's no official line.
Tried to order a new 991.2 Turbo Cab (work did, not personally lol) last week and was told that they aren't accepting any new orders until September.
Now this we all knew, as the plant is closed for retooling. But the dealer said that from September you will only be able to order a 991.2 Carrera 4 GTS and nothing else as they'll only be making the 992 from then on.
Now I've not heard anything about the 992 other than it's launching at Geneva next year, what has everyone else heard? And why only the GTS to be made between Sep and then? Smacks of bulls*t to me and that the dealer needed to fill a quota.
But it's a dangerous game playing with us as we've bought 14 new high value Porsches every year on average for the last 3 years, most from that dealer.

Also, as I understand, the filter reduces power output. To return output to its previous level, it maybe necessary to combust more fuel, increasing CO2 emissions and reducing fuel efficiency. Further irony. Is this just the political dogma of the moment that will once again cost the consumer dear?
From a Mercedes site discussing particulate filter to be used on S series cars:
The filter works in a similar way to the technology in diesel vehicles: the exhaust gas stream is supplied to a particulate filter system. The filter has a honeycomb structure with alternately sealed inlet and outlet channels. This forces the exhaust gas to flow through a porous filter wall, which traps the soot. The filter can be continuously regenerated under corresponding driving conditions.
The particulate filter technology for petrol engines is based on cordierite, which is especially heat-resistant. Mercedes-Benz employs a particulate filter that is optimised for back pressure, has a high filtration efficiency and is also maintenance-free and self-regulating.
