Entry & Drive security, and the classic travel sweet tin

On and off I worry that the keyless unlocking and car starting might mean I'll wake up one morning and the car will be gone.
I know the concept of keeping the keys in some kind of faraday cage isn't new, but I was pleased to see that those delightful metal tins you get travel sweets in are the perfect size for a Porsche key.
I did a quick test and it worked brilliantly. With the tin one hand, and the other on my door handle, the car didn't open. Then I let myself in and sat in the car with the tin held near the steering wheel, and the car wouldn't start.
So go and treat yourself to a nice tin of sweets, and keep the car safe!

Soon Porsche will take away the buttons and charge you to put them back: "For only £700 you wont have to carry a sweet tin in your pocket" 
On a serious note, if I had that "feature" i'd ask them to disable it. Once the knobs can't find cars to knick of the drive they'll move on to car parks/etc.
