Looking at a gen 2 997 S that has done 69,000. Is that considered high mileage for a 911? Is it worth paying more for one that is lower mileage? Will be a third car - probably 4000 per annum.

These cars are solid, there's no issue whatsoever assuming the previous owner(s) have kept on top of servicing and maintenance.

I bought mine with 62k on the clock in 2016, its now on 92k, its used daily and apart from a front suspension rebuild its been absolutely fine, I do however change the oil every 10k as a precaution.

I bought one with ~72k on the clock in May/June.

Looked at a number of cars with a lot less miles on but similar age that quite evidently hadn't been looked after to the same degree. Won't preclude issues, but buy on condition rather than miles IMO.

86,000 on my 997.1
Was going for a 991.1 but having come back from an enjoyable 890 mile blast around France Ive just made the decision to run it on and replace any bits as needed and upgraded my Cayenne instead.

If the oil has been changed frequently then the mileage is not an issue. How its been looked after and its service history is way more important.
