£10k Budget - Boxter 986 or 987?

Hi folks, I want to buy an occasional use sports car for sub £10k to cherish and enjoy. Although I'm not set on one particular car yet I'm leaning towards a Boxter and wonder what the wise members of PH would suggest. I'm thinking a low mileage, top condition 3.2 S 986... I'd appreciate any wise words you may be able to add?

2005 Boxster 987S....
3.2 engine and pre the March 2006 tax hike.

Boxster are seriously good value ATM and might be even better in a few months.
