Hi Folks

Just went to flash up the 964 ready to load it up for a trip to the paint shop.

Checked the following:

Battery all good, DME pulls in, car cranks.  This car has the annoying porsche immobiliser that flashes an led in the centre consul that changes to constant when the immobiliser fob is inserted after the 2 beeps.  I did have fuel pump issues and this was replaced and if a separate supply is made the pump operates.  With the ignition on and the DME cover removed i cant here the fuel pump running when the relay contact is manually operated.  Any suggestions.  I dont have a wiring diagram hence any details on what the immobiliser disables would be helpful

Thanks for the reply. The car was running fine last month. I'm wondering what the immobiliser disables as well as stopping the car from cranking. I will check the crank position sensor .

This, apart from the battery; this was the only failure I had in 18 years on my C2. Crank no start, as the ecu doesn't get the 30mph min speed it needs to see ( that's if my memory is working correctly)

The diag port is on the left of the passenger footwell. I'm not sure what types of reader will work other than the original Bosch hammer or aftermarket tools like the PDT999. Some background info here along with a tool Iv've not seen before. https://www.bergvillfx.com/products/t-hammer-diagn...

There was a very long time ago a tool shared on Rennlist, going as far as showing the tooling required for the port setup, I had one; long since gone now.

No it doesnt and yes this could be the crankshaft Position sensor however further investigation with the DME relay bypassed didn't result in the fuel pump running or the car starting hence i still think it might be immobiliser related.

The car was winched on to a low loader yesterday and off to the spray shop so will look again upon its return in a few months time

Thanks
