Ordered my wife a new factory order cayenne around a month ago. £3k standard deposit

Was told in writing that we could pay the balance when the car arrived, even asked for a payment link and they doubled down its fine pay when it arrives.

Car is about to be built and they have called and asked for 10% of the balance….

Plot twist though, this was only after I told them to ps off on a new 911 Gts In the showroom that I showed interest in.

Should I contact Porsche customer service and dispute this ?

Bought a few new Porsche’s from OPC’s - various deposits £3 or £5k depending on model but never been asked to pay the final balance until a few days before pick up. Is this the sign of the times?

Think it’s more sign of a sh*t dealer and not being happy that I pulled plug on their 911 lol

Yes, dispute it. You have it in writing. Their sudden demand after you passed on the GTS is petty and unprofessional. Call Porsche GB customer service directly, forward the email or message where they said pay on arrival. Don’t let them bully you into 10% now.
