Hello,

I am a proud owner of an 08 c2s. I am concerned that my son has been driving the car, as he is not allowed. Is there a way for me to pull data off the car to see if the car has been driven, speeds at certain times, etc. I am trying to figure out at what times he has been driving it and at what speeds and where if possible. Is there an onboard computer that will give me this information? If so, how do I extract this information from the car?

Cheers!
Tom

Can't you make a note of the odometer reading?
Or hide the keys?

I am planning on doing that in the future, but for now I am trying to figure out a past incident

Hi, does the PCM not store the speed reading on that model?

What about the sat nav? Mine has a page with distance travelled, max speed etc.

How old is your son? Does he carry insurance to drive it?

Previous posts confirm it. One starts :

"Every day I walk to school....."

I think it would be a very bad idea to take out your dads car. You - or innocent other people - could very well suffer.

I believe that the OP is asking about the Electronic Logbook. It is a very rarely specified option and available on anything from PCM 2.1 onwards as far as I am aware. I've no idea what the retrofit cost is, but I would be surprised if any given car other than an options list special had it fitted.

Not absolutely sure, but I think the PCM has the feature built in and just needs a code to unlock that bit of the software - in exchange for money!

Nothing to add, apart from that this thread is fantastic comedy.

Thank you OP.
