Tuscan mk1 bonnet and wipers

Can you please let me know what the depression is for in the centre of the underside of the bonnet near the central wiper spigot?



You can see where the wiper arm has been interfering with the bonnet causing rub marks. Should there be a spacer of some kind attached to the underside of the bonnet that sits on the scuttle with the bonnet down that lifts the bonnet away from the wiper arm?

If it's like my convertible , I would expect a threaded bobbin to be fibre glassed in to take a spigot to support the bonnet against the scuttle tray. I put flats on the plate, so I could fit the plastic caps on both wipers . Looks like your bonnet needs the support to stop the rubbing.



Must do some touch up under there .. can't have the Best In Show TVR showing imperfections .

Yep there should be a threaded insert there so a rubber foot can be screwed in and adjusted to clear the wipers
