So later last year I had my Speedsix rebuilt.
All seemed well but earlier this year, I notice a couple of issues.
First, a missfire.
Second, the three lights on the right side dash gauge would flash and at the same time the car would stutter.

The car went back for a check up where they found water ingress around the spark plugs.
After that corrction, the stutter still existedsuch that the workshop checked earth bonds, alternator connections etc.
They didn't realy find any issues apart from the alternator connections being, maybe, not tight enough.
The problem still remains and I'm wondering if anyone else has suffered similar.

I'm sure its a loose connection somewhere ???

I'd hazard a guess at the alternator itself or perhaps the main fuse.

I think you are correct pointing to the alternator.
A few years ago I was heading down to Spain and the Tuscan started misfiring and died as we were passing through Lyon.
The ‘MIL LIGHT’’ was showing on the dash then but I didn’t realise the significance.
Recovered and a French workshop replaced the alternator..
This evening same
Issue as the last few weeks but the ‘MIL LIGHT’ is showing on the dash.
Only issue is that it’s showing 13.8/13.9 voltage???

Have you checked the 100 amp fuse on the end of the starter motor? If it's still the oe strip fuse they can crack and cause issues.

Also check the ignition coil pack, mine had a hairline crack which was causing an intermittent misfire at 4k revs when under load in top gear especially going up a hill, an easy fix if that is the culprit.

When you say Mil light are you referring to the green, amber and red shift lights?

Hi Chaps, sorry slow in responding. Life is quite difficult at the moment with family health issues.

So, the garage did find, "not so tight" terminals on the alternator but it is still cutting out, so not that.
The 'MIL LAMP' on the dash is those two words displayed, not the shift change, although those three lamps flash when the problem occurs???
She is back at the garage tomorow and I'll mention the 100Amp fuse. That has the sort of intermitant fault issue I'm experiencing.

I have experienced tha coil pack issue but this doesn't have the same symptoms.
My experience with that was just as you described, missfiring under load.

I’m having the exact same issues but without the fault on the dash so watching this with interest.

Mines in for a new coil, leads and plugs on Monday which I’m hoping sorts it.

Have you done the coil on yours?
