T350 T & Tuscan 2
Discussion
I test drove a Tuscan convertible two days ago, and was totally amazed by it. They have come along such a long way in the last six years, particularly in the engine and chassis/suspension areas. I hope to confirm my order for a new one next week.

I picked up my T2 drophead in October, 3000 miles on it now.
The car is fantastic apart from one thing. I can't get comfortable in the seat. I am 6'5 and this seems to have exagerated the problem. The offset of the seat to accomodate the Roll bar seems to have pushed the seat to the centre of the car and the steering wheel is offset to the right. This makes for cramp after about 100 miles. I have had the seat tilted to the right but i think that the seat needs to be repositioned, rotated to make for less offset, although the seat will then be pointing to the right of the centreline. Anyone else had a similar experience, or is it just thet I had one of the first off the line?

I'm not sure of the exact method of offset or the clearance in the T2, but there is a similar problem in the T350 with the rollbcage around the edge of the rood. You end up leaning on the centre tunnel all the time. I removed my seats and took the spacers out between the seat base and runners - this is how they canted the seats in a T350. The top of the seat still clears the roll bar.
There were no spacers on my T2C, but i had the dealer add about 7mm spacers on the inside. Helps the problem but now the seat back foules on the roll bar mounts and the trim has rubbed off the seat back. This also twists the seat back and makes it feel like the base is tiled to the outside and the back to the inside. I think I will remove 3 of the 4 bolts and see if rotating the seat helps matters. A few brackets should join the seat to the car again.
I have had my Tuscan 2 for 2 months now (was 8 months old when I bought it) and what a difference from the Tamora I previously had (1 1/2 years ago), engine not so tappety and a smoother drive all round and with over 2 years peace of mind warranty, although never had any major problems with Tamora. The car is far better finished as well and feels a lot more solid, fantastic overall and I got a bargain.
No TVR dealer in Scotland now, any news of anyone taking it on.
