Battery charger, or battery conditioner? They're very different things.

If the battery has been banged flat it might not be too keen to maintain charge now. My Tusc eats batteries for breakfast as I have no power supply in my garage to run a charger/conditioner from.

Really? My battery has gone dead on me twice both my fault..1..left the lights on and last night..2 left the boot open one dead battery.. Trickle charged it today for 4/5 hours and its alive again...

Ive left it running for 30 mins or so in the drive now charging at 13.5/14.0.........

Will it start tomorrow morning? ..... I reckon it will...

Battery charger to put the charge into it in the first place, battery conditioner to stop it from going flat over the long term.

I use solar powered battery conditioner if car left for more than two weeks. Just park in my drive facing south and works perfectly. Came from web site for boating solar power. Inserts into cig litter and is about 2 feet x10 inches. Cost about £100 and is stored in boot or behind seats.

Go for an Accumate battery conditioner from Leven Technology. Had one for 4 years on Chimaera and Tuscan through cigarette lighter and never had a flat battery.
Have left the car for up to 5 weeks sometimes when on overseas business trip.

Accumate gets my vote too - I leave it connected 24/7 when the Tuscan is garaged, and I've never had problems getting her going since - starts perfectly every time. Having had a few problems will battery drain previously, I recommend the Accumate 100%.
