Hi to everyone, just got rid of my Chim and got a new Tuscan. I've done 150 odd miles and the battery warning is sounding and it's showing a voltage of 10 to 11 on the volt meter. I would guess this would be a warrenty call or am I missing something simple?

Not an expert on the new ones, but if something is sounding! my advice would be to take it in and get it checked out.

Fair play to the dealer the man from the RAC was here within an hour. He couldn't fix it as not allowed to take off the bonnet without help and I wasn't alowed to help. Car being collected on a trailer soon to be taken back to the dealer so will wait and see what the problem is.

Could well be just the 100 amp fuse on the alt. Stupid bit of design.

It was the alternator. New one fitted same day and all is well. Top marks to London TVR for a very speedy fix. The volt meter is now reading around 14.4 most of the time which to me seems a little high, any thoughts anyone?

Would have thought 14.4 is fine?

Mine (Mk 1) reads 14.1-14.2 most of the time so 14.4 does not sound too excessive. Driven regularly.
