Three weeks into Tuscan ownership, and loving every second..., except one particular second this morning, when I was needing to apply a considerable amount of opposite lock to correct a bit of sideways motion I found myself doing.

I have experienced some tail wagging at T-junctions etc., but this was at 50mph, with a big lorry coming towards me on the other side of the road.

What suprised me the most, was the small amount of throttle input required(4th gear, at low revs)to bring on the loss of traction, and once I had lost traction, how prolonged the slide was.

With my TVR S2, when the car lost traction, it seemed to find it again quicker than the time it took me to react. I have certainly been warned.

Anyway looking forward to an exciting year in the Tuscan. Tickets for British GT at Oulton Park booked, plus my first trip to Le Mans. Also in the process of organising a trip to Beaujolais in November.(A bit old hat I know, but any excuse!) Might be a good idea to put my name down for a driver training day aswell based on this mornings events.

Good luck to everyone, and take it steady, especially if you have one of the fast one's like mine in Viper Blue!!

Regards

Bishy.

It doesn't take much on cold/damp tarmac to provoke the rear end. Fun when you are expecting it but a bit when you're not.

Especially with cold tyres. You see why the racing boys pay so much attention to warming them up to correct temp. Or salt, acts like minature marbles under your tyres.
Be carefull out there folks, D.
