Easiest thing is to pop round to your local auto electrical shop and ask them to remove it for you. They should have the correct pins for removal or buy a set. Bit messy using diy tools tho can be done. ..Dave.
I got my hifi released from one dealer to attach an mp3 player connection lead, once I got the lead sorted I thought I could just push it in no probs......Wrong assumption!......I tried for about an hour to push it in, moving all the wires around and stuff, in the end I went down to your local friendly generic automotive store and I said "can you give us an' hand" and it took us both about 10-15 minutes to push it back in, despite all the wires being out the way it was a huge strain, still cant get the outside trim on.... gonna have to face this problem again soon as i bought an ipod compatible stereo now....any tips for an easy slide in!!??

I had a similar problem when I fitted an upgraded unit in mine, and when it was finally in place the front trim would not fit.
In my case it was actually the radio pod that was too small. Anyway to cut a long story short I bought one from Douglas Valley got it re-covered and everything fitted a lot better.
the way to remove a tuscan stereo/cd player is to take off the center arm rest cover, one screw/bolt at the back under the air vent for the back sreen ,this pops out and on later mods two screws on each side of the tunnel, then the whole armrest cover will come away, then you can get at the one bolt holding the stereo into place,a bit of a bitch to get at but its there, when its out its easy to deal with wires and finding places to put them
