Speedo seems to have stopped working tried again this morn worked for ten seconds then that was it just been under the car and cleaned which i think is the sensor (right by the diff) but still no joy, is there suposed to be a sort of rubber gum on end of the bolt? Greatfull for any advice. Regards Mark

There is also a fuse to check as well, think its on the same feed as the fog lights [check the manual]. Had a similar issue last year which needed the sensor to be replaced. Can't comment on the gum, but there are plenty of threads if you do a search.

Checked fuse not blown. Dont think theres not much more i can do.Im to the ££££££ sorry i meant dealers

May need a new speedo sensor - really common problem with numerous generations of sensor having come and gone.

Agreed, recently had to have a new one in mine. I believe the part is around &70 then there is the labour on top. I think, unfortunately, they have to drop the tnak out to get to it!
